Blog the sequel

This would be my second posting. Already a second though I am not sure if anyone even viewed the first. It is nice to think someone did, but let us be realistic.

Anyways, I have to say that this week has been crazy. I finished 1984 and America: A Citizen's Guide to Democracy Inaction. An odd combo, I must say. Like lamb and tuna fish. First off, 1984 is a great book. It really does shake the view of somebody if they believe strongly in government, like me. I mean I do not believe in the oppressive government presented in 1984, but a good government is a cherished commodity. I will not go in to the specifics of 1984, but it is one of the best books I have ever read.

America is a hilarious book. I must say that I have never laughed so hard at a book, not even the joke books when you were young. Not only that, but the book also provides a look at the government in a truly satirical form. So not only is it funny, but it makes you think. Not that it makes you think too hard. Those kinds of books would not sell in the current world.

Last thought before I close out this post. I saw an advertisement for Mini Frosted Spooners, the cereal. This made me laugh. If this does not make you laugh, I would ask Satan to return your soul.

Cheers
Sam
